Cancer Research UK RadNet Manchester

Established in 2019 and renewed in 2024, CRUK RadNet Manchester is a Radiation Research Centre of Excellence that is part of a UK-wide network. CRUK RadNet Manchester works in collaboration with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and The University of Manchester to develop an integrated world-leading radiation oncology programme working towards individualised personalised physical and biological testing based on real-time outcomes and a mechanistic understanding of the tumour microenvironment, immune response, comorbidity and genomics.

Uplifting the 2019 RadNet award is an affiliated gift from The Taylor Family Foundation of £4.5 million to improve our understanding and treatment of Head and Neck cancers using proton beam therapy and other advanced radiotherapy and imaging techniques.
