Mark is a Professor of Immunology and Head of Division for Immunology, Immunity to Infection, & Respiratory Medicine in Manchester. Mark's work focuses on how immune responses are regulated in mucosal tissues such as the gut and lung. His work focusses on how immunity in these tissues maintain health and homeostasis, and how challenges such as infection and radiotherapy can disrupt the immune system and cause damage.
